IBR VS The Lost

Falcon Center

The Lost Falcon Center VS The Independent Bird Register is written in light hearted fun, but it does have a point, which will become clear as you read on.

The IBR keeps a database of lost birds.

The Lost Falcon Center does not keep a lost bird register.

The IBR issues free split rings for birds, with an ID and phone number.

The Lost Falcon Center does not issue rings.

The IBR sells falconry books, falconry equipment and a falconers directory.

The Lost Falcon Center does not have a falconers directory, nor does the Lost Falcon Center sell falconry equipment nor falconry books.

The IBR has adverts for birds of prey for sale and wanted.

The Lost Falcon Center does not have adverts for Birds of prey either wanted or for sale.

So, having got this far let me explain the point of the Lost Falcon Center vs the IBR page.

The Lost Falcon center does have an immediate response team, who will be at your side whilst searching for your lost bird of prey in as little as an hour

The Lost falcon Center recommends that you register your bird of prey with the IBR to increase the chances of getting your bird of prey back, should our search team be unsuccessful.

I myself will be registering my Harris Hawk as soon as I get one this year, If your bird of prey has not been registerd missing with the IBR when you ask for search help, the Mods on The Lost Falcon Center will phone the IBR on your behalf.

I know a lot of falconers that do recommend the IBR
